MOOTHEDAM [Thalayattumpilly Mana] is the kith family of Ādi Śaṅkarāchārya. They carried the head side [thala] of Aryamba’s mortal remains to the funeral pyre. Along with Kappilly Mana, they also hold the trusteeship of the Kalady Devaswom.
